As part of the project "Shoah: Memory and Legacy of the Holocaust," Universidad ORT Uruguay a series of lectures open to the general public, which took place on Tuesdays throughout the month of May.

May 6
"Women of the Shoah: A Film Based on Testimonies"
Speaker: Prof. Graciela Jinich, Executive Director of the Holocaust Memory Foundation and the Shoah Holocaust Museum in Argentina, and Regional Consultant for Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and Peru at theUSC Shoah Foundation Institute for Visual History and Education.

May 13
"Echoes of the Shoah in the Cinema of Yesterday and Today"
Speaker: Prof. Abraham Zylberman, professor of Jewish History at ORT Argentina, author of numerous articles on the Shoah, and Co-editor of “Nuestra Memoria,” a publication of the Holocaust Memorial Foundation of Argentina.

"The Shoah and Human Rights"
Speaker: Dr. Mariana Blengio Valdés, attorney, Adjunct Professor of Human Rights at the University of the Republic (Udelar), and Coordinator of the UNESCO Chair in Human Rights at Udelar.

"The Shoah and the Right to Truth"

Speaker: Dr. Federico Villegas Beltrán, attorney, former Director of Human Rights at the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representative to the International Task Force for Holocaust Remembrance, Study, and Education (ITF). Currently Minister Plenipotentiary at the Argentine Representation to MERCOSUR and ALADI.
