Yoav Bar-On holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Ibero-Latin American Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Master’s degree in World Literature and Modern Arts from the University of Aix-en-Provence, France. He has been a career diplomat with the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1971, having served since then as Consul in Marseille, Political Advisor to the Department of Eastern Europe, Director of the Departments of Western Europe and West Africa, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Dominican Republic, concurrently accredited to Haiti, Jamaica, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, and Saint Kitts and Nevis.
