Second Equipment Seminar: "The State-of-the-Art Office"

As part of the Interior Design program’s extracurricular activities, the School of Architecture organized the Second Seminar on Interior Design, titled “The State-of-the-Art Office.” The event featured lectures, workshops, and a roundtable discussion. Both the workshops and the lectures were led by designers and architects of national and international renown. Additionally, from November 6 to 14, the works created during the seminar were exhibited in the central hall of the School of Architecture.

The schedule of lectures, workshops, and roundtable discussions was as follows:

Lectures:

- Lecture: "Elevated Floors: Technical Characteristics and Applications" - José Tierno, Engineer - October 15.
Eng. Tierno holds a degree in Industrial Machinery Engineering from the State University of São Paulo, Brazil. He is also an Operational Engineer and an Industrial Mechanical Engineer from Braz Cubas University. He holds a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from MAUA University.

- Lecture "From Technology to the Appropriation of Space" - Arch. Roberto Moraes - October 16.
Architect Moraes is managing partner of the architecture firm KGM Arquitectura y Diseño, based in Marbella, Spain; managing partner of the construction services company ENKI; and director of the architecture firm Kimelman – Moraes.

- Lecture "Analysis of a Specific Case: Punto Publicidad Agency" - Architect Graziella Blengio - October 23.
Architect Blengio is a partner at A+D Studio (Architecture and Design). 2003 Award for Teaching Excellence, Universidad ORT Uruguay. Academic Secretary, School of Architecture. Full Professor of Design.

- Lecture: "The Office: A Semiotic Perspective" - Architect José Doldán - October 28.
Architect Doldán holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education from the University of Palermo, Argentina. He is the Design Coordinator at the Faculty of Design and Communication at the University of Palermo.

- Lecture: “Product Development, from Design to Production” - Designer Flavio Morán - November 3.
Designer Morán is a professor in the Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design program at ORT University. Partner at ODEMAS Studio.

- Lecture: “Professional-Client Relationship” - Designer Adriana Pimienta - November 4.
Designer Pimienta has over twenty years of experience in interior design, in the commercial sector and particularly in the field of furniture. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Professional Decorators and Designers (ADDIP). She is the Commercial Manager of the Bertoni company.


Workshops:

- Workshop: "Development of Special Products: A Niche in Furniture Sales" - Adriana Pimienta (workshop fully booked).

- Workshop: "The Architecture Firm Connected to the World" - Architect Roberto Moraes (fully booked).

- Workshop: "A Space to Create: An Interior Design and Furnishing Studio" - Designer Flavio Morán (fully booked).

- Workshop: "The Commercial Space for Selling Office Furnishings" - Engineer José Tierno (event fully booked).
