March 6, 2009
The Department of Jewish Studies is organizing the course “Individual Testimony and the Personification of History” as part of its support for the Morei-Morim Le Horaat HaShoá Project (Training Teachers to Teach about the Holocaust).  It is aimed at leaders of youth movements within the Jewish community and Hebrew teachers at schools in the Jewish school network of Montevideo.
This course, which begins on March 11, consists of five sessions. It is taught by the Coordinator of Jewish Studies, David Telias, and Professor Isabel Burstein, and will feature the participation of Professor Sonia Bandrymer; all three are fellows of the International School for Holocaust Studies and the Yad Vashem Museum in Jerusalem.
