1st Ibero-American Meeting of the AGE Network: "Educational Management: Experiences and New Challenges"

June 1, 2009
The First Ibero-American Meeting of the AGE Network, titled “Educational Management: Experiences and New Challenges,” took place from June 8 to 10 in the Central Seminar Room. The meeting was primarily intended for representatives of the Network’s member organizations, who gathered to discuss matters related to the Network’s objectives and operations.

The Educational Management Support Network (RedAGE) is a project launched by the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and ORT University aimed at fostering and promoting reflection, research, and innovation in the field of educational planning and management, at the levels of both educational systems and individual institutions and schools. The project has central coordinators: Dr. Joaquín Gairín of the UAB, as General Coordinator, and María Inés Vázquez, M.A., of ORT University, as Ibero-American Coordinator.

Funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), it aims to be an academic benchmark on issues related to Educational Management through the creation and consolidation of a virtual and in-person community that promotes the exchange of information, services, and other initiatives of interest to participants.

This meeting is intended as an initial in-person working session for the discussion and finalization of proposals of common interest, put forward by representatives of the two sponsoring organizations and the 27 member organizations.
