Conference: "Entrepreneurs in Network - Batovi Games Studio"

On August 6, ORT Pocitos hosted the conference "Entrepreneurs in Network - Batovi Games Studio," led by Alejandro Minatta, Coordinator of the Emprender Program, and Fernando Sansberro (pictured), a graduate of the Bachelor of Systems program and Director of Batovi Games Studio. The event was organized by the Ferrere Chair at the university’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Luciana Balseiro, Account Manager for Entrepreneurs at the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII), participated in this event—which marked the second meeting of Emprendedores en Red.

The Emprender Program aims to systematically increase the number and quality of new ventures and/or young companies in dynamic sectors of the Uruguayan economy. Batovi Games Studio is a video game development company that creates games for mobile devices and the web, using languages such as ActionScript, Java, and C++, among others. It was founded in 2003 and today has team of 9 people andfreelancersdeveloping for multiple platforms simultaneously. It has developed games for portals and publishers such as EMI Music, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central, and Real Arcade, among others.
