Meanwhile, the team consisting of Leonardo Cecilia, Belén Geymonat, and Pablo Vilas, all systems engineering students, placed 161st (in the top 26%). The South American competition was held in venues across Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Peru, and Venezuela.
ORT University in Buenos Aires was represented by the two winning teams of the 9th ORT Programming Contest, which took place on September 17 as part of the Faculty of Engineering’s Student Conference (JEFI), accompanied by their coach, Andrés de Sosa, Eng.
A total of 617 teams representing 241 universities from 9 countries participated: Brazil with 412 teams, South America / Northern Region (Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela) with 62 teams, and South America / Southern Region (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay) with 143 teams.
Microsoft, TCS, Sabre, and Geocom collaborated with ORT University to fund the teams’ participation.
