The second edition of the "Intel Latin America Challenge" is a competition for technology startups focused on the university sector. The competition in Uruguay is organized by EMPREAR Asociación Civil, an NGO dedicated to promoting and strengthening professional entrepreneurship through research, business training, and social development. The competition has with Universidad ORT Uruguay ANII.
Proposals for the Intel Latin America Challenge can be submitted online until June 1. The various evaluation stages will take place in each country during June and July. The winners will be announced at the end of September 2010.
The first prize is US$15,000, the second is US$7,000, and the third is US$3,000.
