Conference: "Entrepreneurs in a Network: The ProAnima Case"

On Thursday, July 1, the seminar titled "Entrepreneurs in Network: The ProAnima Case" was held in the Central Seminar Room, presented by Marcelo Duarte, Pablo Baldi, and Pepi Goncalvez. "Entrepreneurs in Network" is a forum where entrepreneurs, companies, and support organizations come together to propose business ideas, build connections, and create a network of strategic contacts that make entrepreneurship possible.

Marcelo Duarte, a graduate in Software Engineering, and Pablo Baldi are the founding partners of LUPS (Uruguayan Software Production Laboratory), the first software export company established outside Montevideo and the first company in the interior of the country to export its products to Europe, North America, South America, and Central America. Together they created HPSGaming, a company that in 2008 received recognition for its SmartVisum product, which was nominated in the“Technological Manufacturer” category at the London-based global“Casino Gaming Awards”event.

Pepi Goncalvez is a producer, cultural manager, and visual artist. Head of the Production Department at the International Film and TV School of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. In 2006, she founded ProAnima, an organization in Uruguay’s animation and video game sector that today brings together 39 2D, 3D , and stop-motion animation studios , developers, independent artists, service providers, and animation academies.

ProAnima is a cluster that brings together animation production and video game development companies, academies, independent artists, related service providers, promoters, and related industries. It is supported by institutions such as LATU, INA, IMM, Ingenio, Prosperitas, the National Development Corporation, UNESCO, and ANTEL, and is part of the Film and Audiovisual Cluster of the Competitiveness Program for Clusters and Production Chains (PACC).
