Also participating in the ceremony were representatives from the Inter-American Development Bank’s Multilateral Investment Fund (FOMIN/IDB), Prospéritas Capital Partners, and public and private organizations committed to entrepreneurship in the country.
The "Emprendedores en la Mira" competition is organized annually by the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Uruguay (AJE), together with the Emprender Fund and Junior Chamber International ( JCI). A total of 43 startups entered the 2010 edition, of which 16 advanced to the finals. Only three of them, including CW Contenidos, received recognition for their growth potential, the innovation they demonstrate, and the team driving them forward.
The jury was composed of representatives from LATU, the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII), Endeavor, Ingenio, and private investors. The competition winners now have the opportunity to enter the startup selection process to access seed capital from the Fondo Emprender.
