Exhibition of Preliminary Projects for the Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design

August 16, 2010
From Monday, August 9, to Friday, August 13, an exhibition of the preliminary designs from Workshop 5 of the Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design was held in the central lobby of the School of Architecture. The exhibition featured the students’ work from the second assignment of the semester, led by Architect Flavio Morán. The workshop focuses on interior design in highly complex spaces with a high volume of foot traffic and visitor turnover.

Conduct research on each proposed area—reception, waiting area, dining room, kitchen, and storage rooms—to achieve an optimal design for the space and its furnishings, taking into account functional, aesthetic, and technological considerations, and thoroughly exploring the selection of materials to be used. Each student developed a detailed plan for their project, considering alternative areas such as a bar, VIP lounge, lounge, nightclub, art space, and exhibition area.
