ORT Uruguay ranks among the world's top 500 universities

Universidad ORT Uruguay ranked among the top 500 universities in the world and among the top 10 in Latin America in the 2010 QS World University Rankings, published on September 15. The main criteria used to compile the rankings are academic peer reviews, employer evaluations, and published research. Of the more than 700 universities in Latin America, only 10 were ranked among the top 500 in the world. The top 10 universities are American or British. The University of Cambridge tops the list, followed by Harvard University.

The 10 Latin American universities ranked among the world's top 500 universities according to the 2010 QS World University Rankings are:
