Exhibition "Uruguay Through a Different Lens" by Israeli photographer Kobby Dagan

April 1, 2011
From March 28 to April 15, the exhibition "Uruguay Through a Different Lens" by Israeli photographer Kobby Dagan was held in the main lobby of ORT Pocitos. It featured a collection of photographs depicting Uruguayans, their unique character, and their customs.

"Uruguay Through a Different Lens" offers an outsider's perspective on Uruguayan culture and daily life; it captures the impressions a foreigner forms of the country's places and people; it sheds light on corners often overlooked in the daily grind. What Dagan offers is not merely a photographic perspective but an opportunity to observe and reevaluate the characteristic elements of Uruguay through the lens of an attentive, passing observer.

The exhibitor began traveling the world in 1991 as part of his diplomatic work and thus discovered his passion for photography. Since then, his images have been published in prestigious publications such as National Geographic Israel ( 2008) and National Geographic International ( 2009).
