"Electronic Music Workshop" at the School of Communication and Design

The School of Communication and Design is hosting the “Electronic Music Workshop,” which began on Monday, August 15, led by music producer Daniel Anselmi and composer Hernán González. The workshop is aimed at musicians, music producers, students, and sound professionals in the field.

The workshop aims to provide participants with general, practical, technical, and theoretical knowledge related to the production of electronic music in all its forms, as well as to teach synthesis, editing, and programming techniques and their application in the composition, arrangement, and live performance of electronic music.

Anselmi is an electronic musician. Consultant and beta tester for sound synthesis hardware and modular systems. Winner of the Graffiti Awards for Uruguayan music in 2004, 2006, and 2008. Instructor in the Sound Design Technician program.

González holds a degree in Sound Design from Universidad ORT Uruguay. He produces electronic music under the pseudonym Cooptrol. He has performed in clubs, venues, and museums in Germany, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Switzerland, and Uruguay. He has released ten albums on labels in various countries. He is a user of and has taught workshops on Max/MSP software. He worked as a sound post-producer and music composer at La Mayor. He is a sound post-producer and music composer for advertising at his production company, Tono.
 
The workshop takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for 10 weeks. Registration is available at Student Services.
