"Time and Short Film Editing" Workshop as part of the agreement with CalArts

From November 11 to December 9, 2011, the workshop “Timing and Editing of Short Films” will take place as part of the Professional Development Workshop Series in Animation for professionals in Uruguay’s animation and video game industries. This workshop is being held under the academic cooperation agreement between the School of Communication and Design and the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts).

The workshop is led by Polina Grinberg, a graduate of the Master’s program in Experimental Animation at CalArts. She explores the various aspects and techniques of timing and editing in the production of short films, commercials, and feature films.

1 – The language of cinema
2 – Analysis of timing in acting
3 – Study and development of cinematic timing
4 – Analysis of how editing affects the piece being developed
5 – Development of editing strategies
