Industrial design students exhibited “Our Everyday Chair”

December 23, 2011
From December 22 to 29, 2011, the exhibition “Our Everyday Chair – 2011 Edition” was held in the Design School Hall. The exhibition featured work from the “Design and Visual Communication 2” course in the second semester of the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design.

Throughout the course, students appropriated an object from their home environment or rescued it from oblivion to repurpose it as a medium for experimentation and expression. The object continues to serve its primary function as a seat but has been transformed and enriched by functional and creative contributions.

The process, led by DI Daniel Domínguez, the course instructor, allowed students to explore the product, materials, and construction techniques, challenging their creativity and the possibilities of the design labs.

The exhibitors were: Daniel Barnett, Lucie Beare, Ana Bittencourt, Tatiana Bottigelli, Melanie Bukstein, Sebastián Granotich, José Lipskind, Martín Maurente, Eugenia Pienovi, Catalina Ribas, Santiago Romero, Romina Rumi, Concepción Sacco, Federico Sáez, Alexandra Schmidt, Natalie Schuch, Victoria Scola, Agustín Vázquez, and Pilar Zas.
