Participation in the SUMA project— Towards Sustainable Financial Management of Universities in Latin America, Chile

Daniel Oliveri, the university’s administrator, and Enrique Topolansky, coordinator of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), gave presentations as part of the SUMA project—Towards Sustainable Financial Management of Universities in Latin America—which took place from January 16 to 20, 2012, at the University of Viña del Mar.

The presentation was titled: “Diversification of Funding Sources: The Strategy of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Universidad ORT Uruguay. Presentation of Success Stories.”

The SUMA Project, funded by the European Commission through the ALFA III program, aims to share experiences and models to develop knowledge strategies that will improve the financial management of universities in each participating country.

Participating universities include institutions from Germany, Austria, Spain, and Italy in Europe, and 18 countries in Latin America: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, El Salvador, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
