Lectures by the Opinion Editor of the Israeli newspaper Maariv

On March 22 and 23, 2012, two lectures were given by journalist Ben Dror Yemini, Opinion Editor of the Israeli newspaper Maariv. On the 22nd, he delivered a lecture titled "The Industry of Lies. Myths and Realities About the Conflict in the Middle East," organized by the Israeli Embassy in Uruguay and the Central Israeli Committee of Uruguay, and on the 23rd at ORT Pocitos, "The World Pays. International Organizations and Refugees: The Case of the Palestinians," organized by the Israeli Embassy in Uruguay and the university’s Department of Jewish Studies.

Journalist Yemini studied humanities, history, and law at Tel Aviv University. He served as an advisor and spokesperson for Israel’s Ministry of Immigration and Absorption. He is the author of the book *Political Punch*, in which he offers a critical analysis of Israeli politics and society. He has written dozens of articles on the Arab-Israeli conflict, making him the most widely translated journalist in his country.
