Lecture: "Life Lessons: Hasidic Tales by Martin Buber: 'Content Even in Sorrow' and 'The Wise Man and the Simple Man'"

On April 23, 2012, ORT Pocitos hosted the lecture “Life Lessons: Hasidic Tales by Martin Buber: ‘Content Even in Sorrow’ and ‘The Wise Man and the Simple Man,’” presented by Rabbi Daniel Kripper, who holds an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. The event was organized by the Department of Jewish Studies.
Rabbi Kripper holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology with a specialization in social psychology from the University of Buenos Aires and a postgraduate degree in education and contemporary Judaism from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is a graduate of the Latin American Rabbinical Seminary. He has served as a rabbi in communities in Argentina, Brazil, the United States, and Uruguay.

He is the author of the books “Gesher Hachaym. Sidur,” “A Guide for the Bereaved,” “Death, Grief, and Hope: Essays on Grief and Judaism,” “Cardinal Virtues: A Commentary on Pirkei Avot,” and “From the Depths: Comforting Prayers and Readings for the Sick and Their Families.”
