The coordinator gave a lecture as part of the “Jazit Hanoar Lecture Series: The Challenge of Being Young Before, During, and After the Shoah”

On April 24, 2012, David Telias, Coordinator of the Department of Jewish Studies, delivered a lecture titled “Victims and Heroes During the Shoah” as part of the “Jazit Hanoar Lecture Series: The Challenge of Being Young Before, During, and After the Shoah,” held at Bait Jadash, the headquarters of the New Israeli Congregation of Montevideo. The event was organized by the youth of the Jazit Hanoar Youth Movement and featured the participation of Samuel Dresel, Director of the Shoah Project, and Ms. Giza Alterwajn, a survivor of the Warsaw Ghetto.

The event began at 8:00 p.m. with a screening of the film “But… Who Could I Plead With? – The Story of Abraham Aviel” (Israel, 2010).
