Lecture: “Protests and Social Media: Is the Revolution Being Tweeted, or Is It Happening on Twitter?”

On June 14, 2012, the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences hosted the lecture “Protests and Online Social Networks: Is the Revolution Tweeted, or Does the Revolution Happen on Twitter?” was held at the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Mireia Fernández-Ardèvol, associate professor in the Department of Econometrics, Statistics, and Spanish Economy at the University of Barcelona and co-director of the research program “Mobile Communication, Economy, and Society” at the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3) of the Open University of Catalonia. It was organized by the faculty’s Department of International Studies.
