The session consisted of a presentation of real-world case studies and projects in higher education that incorporate technology, analyzing their impact on educational practices. It was led by Dr. Carina Lion, Professor of Education Sciences and Distance Education at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), and Wellington Mazzotti, M.A., Coordinator of Distance Learning Courses at the Institute of Education.
Prof. Lion holds a Ph.D. in Education, is a specialist in teacher training, and has a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). She is a researcher at the UBA’s Institute for Research in Education Sciences.
Prof. Mazzotti holds a Master’s degree in Open and Distance Education from the National University of Distance Education (Spain) and a Master’s degree in Education from Universidad ORT Uruguay. He is a Physics teacher at the Artigas Teachers’ Institute. He serves as Director of Secondary Education at the Uruguayan Institute of Pre-University Studies (IUDEP).
