Conference: "Where Is the IT Market Headed?"

As part of the launch of the “7th ICT Job Fair” on September 5, 2012, the Faculty of Engineering hosted the conference “Where Is the IT Market Headed?” A distinguished panel of representatives from the academic and business sectors presented trends and expectations regarding human talent in information technology. The event was organized by the faculty’s Graduate Affairs Office and the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technology (CUTI).

The speakers discussed the expectations of IT companies, the role of academia in this regard, and the expectations of future professionals. The event aimed to bridge the gap between needs and opportunities by identifying points of connection between the academic sector and the business community.
