Publication of the “Ioman ORT 5773” (ORT Calendar 2012–2013)

Universidad ORT Uruguay the "Ioman ORT 5773" (ORT Calendar September 2012–October 2013), an annual publication produced by the General Directorate, the Department of Jewish Studies, and the Publications Department Coordination Office. This year’s feature article is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of ORT in Uruguay. The text was written by Prof. Charlotte de Grünberg, Director General of ORT Uruguay.

ORT was founded in Uruguay in 1942 by members of the Jewish community who wanted to support immigrants fleeing Nazi atrocities by teaching them trades that would help them integrate into society.
