The coordinator participated in the seminar “Experiences in Education and Remembrance of the Holocaust: Reflection and Commemoration”

David Telias, Coordinator of the Department of Jewish Studies, participated in the seminar “Experiences in Holocaust Education and Remembrance: Reflection and Commemoration. The Connection Between the Past, Knowledge, Emotion, and Action,” organized by the Argentine Ministry of Education and the Anne Frank House Argentina, in collaboration with the Anne Frank House in the Netherlands, the House of the Wannsee Conference, Memorial and Educational Site in Germany, and the Committee 4 and 5 May in the Netherlands. It also received support from the Task Force for International Cooperation on Holocaust Education, Remembrance, and Research. During this seminar, which took place from October 29 to November 2, 2012, in the city of Buenos Aires, educational experiences regarding the Shoah (Jewish Holocaust) were presented by representatives from Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, the Netherlands, Peru, and Uruguay.

Mr. Telias was invited to present the experience of the teacher training course“The Shoah: The Human Condition and Memory,” which has been offered by the Department of Jewish Studies since 2008.
