Graduate documentary program wins the 2012 Rocky Mountain Emmy Award

“Community Heroes,” a program directed by Oscar Estévez, a graduate of the Audiovisual Production program, won the 2012 Rocky Mountain Emmy Award for “Outstanding Human Interest Documentary Program.” It is a documentary series featuring 12 stories with real-life protagonists from three countries. It is produced by Mediapolis and Brigham Young University International. The winners were announced at a ceremony held on October 6, 2012, at University of Phoenix Stadium (Arizona, United States).

The “Rocky Mountain Emmys” are regional awards presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in the United States. Arizona, Central California, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming are the states that make up the region in which the program won.
