Lecture: "Ukraine: Between Putin and Merkel. The Struggle Against Multipolarity"

On March 13, 2014, the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences hosted the lecture “Ukraine: Between Putin and Merkel. The Struggle Against Multipolarity,” presented by Dr. Oded Balaban, Full Professor at the University of Haifa and a member of the International Association for the Study of Controversies. The speaker analyzed the current political crisis in Ukraine. The event was organized by the Department of International Studies at the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences and the Department of Jewish Studies at the university.

Balaban holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Tel Aviv University. He is the Associate Editor of the international philosophy journal *Daimon*. He served as Chair of the Department of Philosophy at the University of Haifa. He was a visiting professor at the University of Florida (United States). He has been awarded the Teaching Excellence Award by Israel’s Technion Institute on several occasions. He is the author of the book *Interpreting Conflict: The Israeli-Palestinian Negotiation at Camp David II and Beyond* (New York: Peter Lang Publisher, 2005).
