April 30, 2014
On April 2, 2014, the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences hosted the conference “Network Business Model: The Strategic Management of Business Relationships” as part of the Management and Business Lecture Series organized by the faculty’s School of Graduate and Executive Studies. The speakers were Dr. Sebastián García-Dastugue, a researcher in supply chain management, partnerships, and entrepreneurial families, and Dr. Luis Silva Domingo, Academic Coordinator of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. They presented tools for reviewing business strategies and a methodology for developing the ability to form and maintain mutually satisfying and lasting business relationships with customers and suppliers.

“Strategy always depends on others to be successfully implemented. Some business models recognize and explicitly state these dependencies and relationships, making them central and decisive factors in success,” the speakers noted.

García-Dastugue holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration, an MBA, and a Bachelor’s degree in Systems from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio.

Silva Domingo holds a Ph.D. in Business Management from the University of Valencia (Spain), an MBA from University College Dublin (Ireland), and a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of the Republic. He is a Managing Partner at Xternum.
