Lecture: “Judaism and Game Theory: From Moses to the Nobel Laureates”

On June 2, 2014, ORT Pocitos hosted a lecture titled “Judaism and Game Theory: From Moses to the Nobel Laureates,” presented by Dr. Elad Dokow, a rabbi at the Technion—Israel Institute of Technology. The speaker examined the history of the Jewish people through the lens of game theory. The event was organized by the Department of Jewish Studies.
Dr. Dokow holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. He serves as a reviewer for the scientific journals *Journal of Economic Theory* and *Social Choice and Welfare*. His research areas include game theory, collective decision-making, learning processes, and economic models.

He was a professor in the Department of Economics at Bar-Ilan University in Ramat Gan, Israel, and a visiting professor in the Department of Economics at Carlos III University in Madrid. He served as rabbi of the Jewish Community of Madrid in 2012 and 2013.
