Student short film received an honorable mention at the "Piriápolis de Película" film festival

The short film "El Asado," directed by Francisco Hordeñana and produced by Valentina Baracco, students in the Bachelor's Degree in Audiovisual Communication program, received an honorable mention from the jury of the "Piriápolis de Película" international film festival. The event took place from August 15 to 17, 2014, at the Hotel Argentino in Piriápolis. The short film was produced as part of the ORT Digital Program of the School of Communication and Design.

“Piriápolis de Película” is an audiovisual festival that has established itself as a platform for independent productions by national and international filmmakers. It is known for showcasing a selection of outstanding audiovisual works, including short films, mid-length films, and feature-length films across all genres. It also features a Latin American Short Film Competition, whose goal is to stimulate and promote the production of short films in the region and across the continent.

Baracco and Hordeñana will present this short film on September 15, 2014, at the Third Unasur Cine International Film Festival, which will take place in San Juan (Argentina).
