For more than two years, a group of teachers—Uruguayan alumni of the Uruguayan Holocaust Memorial Center who had participated in Yad Vashem’s teacher training courses in Jerusalem—selected the bibliographic and audiovisual materials with which the library began its operations.
This library also houses materials on other genocides that occurred in the 20th century, making it a point of reference for teachers, researchers, and the general public interested in the topics of the Shoah and human rights.
