Marcelo Lanfranconi, a graduate in Systems Engineering and founder of the company Paganza, was one of the ten winners of the third edition of "Innovators Under 35 in Argentina and Uruguay."

This award is presented annually by MIT Technology Review, with support from the Inter-American Development Bank, to ten Argentine and Uruguayan innovators under the age of 35 who are considered among the most outstanding in the region.

Paganza, a startup supported in 2012 by the CIE (Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship), is a free app that allows users to scan and pay bills online.

An article published on the event’s website states that the jury “particularly valued its ambition, social impact, and execution capabilities.”

It also highlights that the app features a simple and intuitive interface that offers a good user experience, and the scanning software can read barcodes even in complex situations.

Paganza’s goal is to expand its user base (currently 27,000) to reach 500,000 banked households in Uruguay. It also plans to enter other markets, such as Colombia and Mexico.
