Articles by faculty members were published in the book *Machiavelli: Timeless in the 500th Anniversary of *The Prince*

In May 2015, the University Culture Foundation published the book *Machiavelli: Timeless in the 500th Anniversary of *The Prince*, which includes two articles by researchers from the School of Communication and Design. The book launch will take place on June 23, 2015, in the Council Chamber of the School of Law at the University of the Republic.

The articles are:

- “500 Years of Machiavelli’s *The Prince*. Ethics and Politics. A Dose of Detachment to Prevail in Chaos” by Prof. Agustín Courtoisie, professor of Ethics and Freedom of Expression in the School of Communication and Design, and instructor of Contemporary Culture and Society in the School of Management and Social Sciences.

- “The Virtue of the Prince and the Virtue of the Republic: The Question of Limits on Power” by Prof. Francisco Faig, associate professor of History, Politics, and Society at the School of Communication and Design.

These articles were presented by their authors at the symposium of the same name organized by the Faculty of Law at the University of the Republic, which took place on October 10 and 11, 2013, at that faculty.
