Lecture: “Anti-Semitism in Art and Literature”

On July 30, 2015, the lecture “Anti-Semitism in Art and Literature” was held at the Pocitos Campus, presented by Gustavo Perednik. The speaker analyzed the presence of anti-Semitism in various artistic expressions and in Western literature. He highlighted several notable examples of how anti-Semitism can lurk in the most unexpected places. The event was organized by the university’s Department of Jewish Studies.

Perednik is a graduate of the University of Buenos Aires and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (cum laude), and completed his Ph.D. in Philosophy in New York. He studied the humanities at the Sorbonne (France), San Marcos (Peru), and Uppsala (Sweden). He was recognized as an outstanding professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
