Papers presented at the 12th Biotrans 2015 peer-reviewed conference

The papers "Immobilized enzymatic assembly line for the synthesis of alpha hydroxy acids" and "Nanoimmobilized lipase for the synthesis of ethyl esters from vegetable oil," in which researchers from the Biotechnology Department of the School of Engineering participated, were presented at the peer-reviewed 12th Biotrans 2015 conference, held July 26–30, 2015, in Vienna, Austria.

The conference was organized by the Vienna University of Technology and the Austrian Centre for Industrial Biotechnology.

The article "Nanoimmobilized lipase for the synthesis of ethyl esters from vegetable oil" was authored by:
- Diego Cazabán, a graduate of the Bachelor’s program in Biotechnology and a member of the Biotechnology Research Team at the School of Engineering.
- Mag. Mariana Ferrari, coordinator of the Biotechnology Laboratory at the School of Engineering.
- Dr. Claudia Bernal, researcher at the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, Chile.
- Dr. Lorena Wilson, professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, Chile.
- Dr. Lorena Betancor, research professor of Biotechnology at the School of Engineering.

It was presented by Mr. Cazabán.
