The academic coordinator was appointed vice president of Affiliations for the Latin American Association for Information Systems (AIS) Chapter

Dr. Helena Garbarino, academic coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, was appointed Vice President of Affiliations for LACAIS (Latin American Association for Information Systems) – AIS Chapter (Association for Information Systems). The appointment took place during the election of new chapter representatives at the LACAIS meeting, which was held on August 14, 2015, in Puerto Rico.

The regional chapters of the AIS aim to facilitate and coordinate regional exchange, as well as the promotion of conferences andjournals.

The role involves improving the promotion of AIS events and activities in order to increase membership and raise the association’s profile.
