Visit by the Speaker of the Victorian House of Representatives, Australia

On September 24, 2015, Mr. Telmo Languiller, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the State of Victoria, Australia, visited the university. He was accompanied by Mr. Peter Lochert, Secretary of the Department of Parliamentary Services of the State of Victoria; Mr. Noel Campbell, Australian Ambassador to Argentina and Uruguay; and Dr. Jorge Seré Sturzenegger, Director of Institutional Relations at the Uruguayan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

They held a meeting with the rector, Dr. Jorge Grünberg, and Dr. Laura Diaz Arnesto, coordinator of Academic Projects, during which they discussed the possibility of establishing academic partnerships with universities in the State of Victoria and other avenues for cooperation.
