Papers presented at the 13th Latin American Congress on Construction Pathology

Three papers written by faculty members from the School of Architecture were presented at the 13th Latin American Congress on Construction Pathology (Conpat 2015), which took place from September 8 to 10, 2015, in Lisbon. This peer-reviewed conference was organized by the Latin American Association for Quality Control, Pathology, and Restoration in Construction.

The authors of the articles are Julio César Pérez, Ph.D., professor of Building Pathology at the faculty; Pedro Ruiz Díaz, architect, and Gustavo Sureda, architect, both adjunct professors at Proyecto 3; and Williams Bradford, architect, director of the Williams Bradford studio.

Articles:
- "Common design and construction errors in aluminum openings with labyrinthine frames and their consequences for interior-exterior enclosures"
- "Common deterioration in exposed brick facades and party walls: two case studies from the Banco Hipotecario del Uruguay (BHU)"
- "Diagnosis and rehabilitation of the skylight in the main hall of the headquarters building of the National Administration of the Uruguayan Postal Service (A.N.C.)"

The three articles were presented by Engineer Julio César Pérez Pérez.
