On October 18, 2015, the Pocitos Campus hosted “Jidón 2015: Nelly and Nahum Bergstein. Israel: 100 Years (1915–2015),” a quiz competition on the theme of Israel’s centennial, aimed at young people in both formal and informal education aged 15 to 19. The prize was a one-week trip to Israel.
The competition was coordinated by Rafael Winter. The judging panel consisted of Roberto Cyjon, former president of the Central Israeli Committee of Uruguay; Ana Ribeiro, a historian and professor at the Faculty of Humanities at the Catholic University of Uruguay; and Ramiro Rodríguez Villamil, co-founder of the weekly newspaper *Búsqueda* and former director of Radio Sarandí.

The event was organized by the Bergstein family and the university’s Department of Jewish Studies.
