Papers presented at the 20th Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association

Two papers, co-authored by scholars from the School of Management and Social Sciences, were presented at the 20th Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association conference. This peer-reviewed conference took place from October 15 to 17, 2015, in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, and was organized by the Society of Bolivian Economists, the Institute for Advanced Studies in Development, and the Private University of Santa Cruz de la Sierra.

The papers presented were:

- “Juvenile incarceration and crime after release: Evidence from a harsher law” by Dr. Néstor Gandelman, academic coordinator of Economics at the School of Administration and Social Sciences, and Ignacio Munyo, director of the Center for Economics, Society, and Business at the IEEM Business School of the University of Montevideo. The paper was presented by Dr. Gandelman.

- “Covert networks and the antitrust policy” by Dr. Flavia Roldán, research professor of Economics at the School of Administration and Social Sciences, and Dr. Carlos Ponce, professor at the Latin American Institute of Doctrine and Social Studies at Alberto Hurtado University. The paper was presented by Dr. Roldán.

The articles were accepted on July 23, 2015.
