Winning teams from the 15th ORT Programming Contest participated in the South American Regional Final of the ACM International Programming Contest

The top three winning teams from the 15th ORT Programming Contest, held in September 2015 as part of the Faculty of Engineering’s Student Day, participated in the South American Regional Finals of the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) International Programming Contest. The event took place on November 14, 2015, at the University of Buenos Aires. They placed 103rd, 110th, and 213th out of a total of 1,611 participating teams.

Results achieved by the university teams at the South American Regional Finals of the ACM International Programming Contest:

1st prize in the ORT Programming Contest:
• Andrés Canabarro, 8th-semester Systems Engineering student
• Gianfranco Papa, 4th-semester Systems Engineering student
• Federico Zaiter, 8th-semester Systems Engineering student
Rank 103 - Top 6.39%.

2nd prize in the ORT Programming Contest:
• Kevin Chacón, 4th-semester Systems Engineering student
• Federico Ruiz, 4th-semester Systems Engineering student
• Federico Silberstein, 4th-semester Systems Engineering student
Ranked 110th - Top 6.83%.

3rd prize in the ORT Programming Contest:
• Bruno Ferrari, 4th-semester Systems Engineering student
• Pablo Morales, 4th-semester Systems Engineering student
• Diego Zuluaga, 4th-semester Systems Engineering student
Ranked 213rd - 13.22% above average.


Dr. Inés Kereki, professor of Programming at the school, served as one of the competition judges, and Andrés De Sosa, academic coordinator of Computer Science at the School of Technology, served as coach for the school’s teams.
