Designs by teachers, graduates, and students selected for the SUM exhibition—Uruguayan Furniture Selection

On November 23, 2015, 19 design projects were selected—four of which were created by faculty, graduates, and students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design—to participate in the SUM exhibition - Uruguayan Furniture Selection, organized by the Uruguayan Chamber of Design through its Furniture Design Subcommittee with the support of the Spanish Cultural Center (CCE). The exhibition will take place from December 15, 2015, to March 2016 at the CCE.

The exhibition aims to showcase a wide range of award-winning furniture designs from various local and international competitions held in the years leading up to the exhibition. Its goal is to promote and raise awareness of furniture design in Uruguay.

The four selected works are:

- Street Fighter! – Estudio Elemento / DI Pablo D’Angelo, professor of Industrial Design 3 and 4 in the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, and Nicolás Noblia and Sebastián Ruiz Díaz, graduates of the program.

- Escritorio Nido - Estudio Claro / María Victoria Scola, a student in the bachelor’s program; Julián San Martín, a graduate; Daniel Appel, a student in the Digital Animation Technician program; and Rosina Secondi.

- Jirali – Estudio Súrdico / Martín Kugelmass, a student in the bachelor’s program.

- Skandinavia – Estudio Súrdico / Martín Kugelmass.
