The call for proposals aimed to solicit research projects that provide original data on the social and/or educational aspects of the Ceibal Plan.
The approved projects are:
- “Educators in the Digital Age: Learning to Teach with Technology in the Initial Training of Secondary School Teachers in Uruguay,” led by Dr. Eduardo Rodríguez Zidán, the institute’s associate academic coordinator for graduate programs. Together with co-principal investigator Dr. Carlos Marcelo, a member of the Academic Committee of the Doctorate in Education, and researchers Mag. Gabriela Bernasconi, Lic. Silvia Umpiérrez, and Mag. Fabián Teliz, who are graduate faculty members at the institute.
- “What Now? ICT in Primary Education: Can We Build Collective Capacity?”, led by Mag. Verónica Zorrilla de San Martín, web editor and content manager for the institute’s website, together with principal investigator Dr. Jonh Moravec of Education Futures LLC.
