Academic Secretary Attended the 17th Annual Global Development Conference: Education for Development

Dr. Denise Vaillant, academic secretary of the Institute of Education, attended the 17th Annual Global Development Conference, “Education for Development: Quality and Inclusion for Changing Global Human Capital Needs,” which took place on March 17 and 18, 2016, at the Universidad del Pacífico in Lima.

This is a peer-reviewed conference organized by the Global Development Network (GDN), the Peruvian Ministry of Education, and the Group for the Analysis of Development (GRADE).

Dr. Vaillant delivered two presentations titled "Educational Inclusion: New Perspectives on Learning in Latin America and the Caribbean" and "Teacher Training Policies in Latin America. "

This conference aims to connect academics and students from developing countries with influential global researchers, corporate leaders, and political figures on a common platform where they can interact with one another, share their research, and discuss the most pressing challenges of social and economic development.
