A presentation on the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship received an award at the 4th Afide International Entrepreneurship Congress

The presentation titled “Self-Discovery, Dreaming, and Identifying Opportunities: The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) at Universidad ORT Uruguaydelivered at the 4th Afide International Entrepreneurship Congress (Association for Entrepreneurship Training, Research, and Development), received the award for Best Presentation in the University, Business, and Society category.

The lecture was delivered by Enrique Topolansky, coordinator of the CIE; Dr. María Ximena Fernández, coordinator of Human Resources Programs at the School of Administration and Social Sciences; and Dr. Inmaculada Asensio Muñoz, director of the Department of Research Methods and Educational Assessment at the Complutense University of Madrid.

The conference took place from April 12 to 14, 2016, in the auditorium of the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Administration at the University of the Republic, organized by the University of Salamanca. It brought together more than 150 representatives from 25 universities and 17 countries.

For his part, Mr. Topolansky participated on April 12 in the roundtable discussion “The Role of Universities in the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem.” The other panelists were Josefina Aishemberg, director of Initium—Center for Entrepreneurial Leaders at the University of Montevideo; Rafael García, director of Ingenio—LATU’s business incubator; Catherine Krauss, director of NEXO—Center for Entrepreneurial Development at the Catholic University of Uruguay; and Mag. María Messina, coordinator of Emprenur, the entrepreneurship network at the University of the Republic.
