Conference: “Doing Business in Uruguay: The Portuguese Experience,” as part of Portugal Week 2016

On April 20, 2016, the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences hosted the conference “Developing Business in Uruguay: The Portuguese Experience,” led by David Crespo, general manager of Fertiprado-Uruguay, and Pedro Virtuoso, director of new project development at Grupo ETE (Empresa de Tráfego e Estiva), a member of the consortium responsible for transporting timber by barge for Montes del Plata. The Portuguese business leaders will share their experience and perspective on Uruguay as an investment destination.

The conference was held as part of Portugal Week 2016, which takes place from April 17 to 23. It is organized by the Portugal-South Atlantic Chamber of Commerce, the Portuguese Private Law Association, and the Uruguayan-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce.

Crespo holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies in Lisbon.

Virtuoso holds an MBA from the Portuguese Catholic University.
