Lecture: “Logos, Identities, and the Meaning of the Republic of Florence”

On Thursday, May 26, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., the lecture “Logos, Identities, and the Meaning of the Republic of Florence” will be held at the Downtown Campus (Cuareim 1451), presented by designer Diego Vainesman, director of the New York-based firm 40N47 Design. The event is organized by the Department of Editorial and Advertising Design at the School of Communication and Design.

A groundbreaking and intriguing perspective on creativity and the creation of logos and corporate identities. Imagined and real historical connections to Leonardo da Vinci, told from a different point of view.

Vainesman holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design in New York, United States. He is an art director and designer with experience in various areas of design, from corporate identity to typography, in applications ranging from print to large-scale electronic media. He was a member and president emeritus of the Type Directors Club, New York.
