Premiere of the documentary *Olímpicos*, co-directed by a graduate of the Bachelor’s Program in Audiovisual Communication

August 5, 2016
On August 2, 2016, the premiere of the documentary *Olímpicos*, directed by Ilan Rosenfeld, a graduate of the Bachelor’s program in Audiovisual Communication, and Martín Natalevich, took place at Movie Montevideo Shopping. The film tells the stories of Uruguayan athletes preparing to compete in the “Rio 2016” Olympic Games, which will take place from August 5 to 21 in Rio de Janeiro.

The film’s aim was to answer the question, “What does it mean to be an Olympian in Uruguay?”—a country where resources and interest in so-called “minor sports” are lacking.

Some of the athletes include: Rodolfo Collazo, Emiliano Dumestre, and Bruno Cetraro (rowing); Pablo and Mikael Aprahamian (judo); María Pía Lorenzotti (table tennis); Néstor Nielsen (equestrian); Emiliano Lasa (long jump); and Alejandro Foglia and Dolores Moreira (sailing).
