Conference: "Is It Possible to Stop the ISIS Brand?"

On Thursday, September 22, 2016, at 12:30 p.m., the lecture "Is It Possible to Stop the ISIS Brand?" will be held at the Pocitos Campus (2633 España Blvd.) by Gabriel Ben-Tazgal, director in Israel of the HaTzad HaSheni public diplomacy program and of the Betar youth movement in Jerusalem. The speaker will reflect on whether it is possible to stop the terror campaign carried out by the ISIS group.
Ben-Tazgal holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Master’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations with a specialization in Political Propaganda from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (scholarship awarded by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

He served as the representative in Uruguay for the Jewish Agency for Israel ( ). He was the coordinator of Educational Programs in Israel within the Department of Education and Culture of the Jewish Agency for Israel.

He is the author of the books Israel in the 21st Century: A Democracy in the Middle East (1994); The Political System and Political History of Israel; and The Blue Book of the Betarim.

The event is organized by Macabi Tzair, the Central Israeli Committee of Uruguay, and the Departments of Jewish Studies and International Studies at Universidad ORT Uruguay.
