In September 2016, the Department of History and Theory of Architecture at the School of Architecture published the fifth issue of its annual journal, *Anales de Investigación en Arquitectura*. This issue features works by renowned international architects, as well as final thesis projects by architecture graduates of the school, reformatted into journal articles.

It covers the following topics: the expressiveness of concrete in Miguel Fisac’s work, the charm of suburban living, the system of objects as a shaper of architectural space, the landscapes of Leandro Silva Delgado, hybrid buildings as catalysts for urbanity, and the revitalization of Japanese cities.

Works by graduates and faculty members:

- “The Place of [Objects]: The System of Objects as a Shaper of Architectural Space in the Contemporary Era” by Jimena Chaibún Kanopa, M.A., professor of Workshop 5 in the School of Architecture, and Cecilia Álvarez Rosamina and Anna Rearte Amorós, graduates of the Architecture and Interior Design programs.

- “Urban Japan: Reassessments and Understanding of the Japanese City” by Dr. Tyana Santini, professor of Approaches and Problems in Architecture at the faculty.
